CASE STUDY | COST SEGREGATION STUDY & 179D ENERGY STUDY.
PROJECT: High-end Commercial Office Building.
OPPORTUNITY: The owners of this newly constructed building understand the power of accelerated depreciation and were very familiar with cost segregation studies. However, they were looking for a new cost seg firm to do this study for them. Fortunately, we were awarded to do the work in the summer of 2016. During the beginning of the assignment, we educated the owners on what a Section 179 Energy Study could provide and how they might be able to receive up to $1.80 per square foot.
SOLUTION: Our engineering and tax team went to work and completed both studies for our new client.
